Departments of  the Trust

The Accounts and Administration Department serves as the financial and administrative backbone of RVEI. It manages budgeting, bookkeeping, financial records, statements, payments, audits and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The department also oversees office operations, infrastructure, communication, records and official correspondence. Through these responsibilities, it ensures transparency, accountability and efficient administrative support for RVEI’s institutional operations and long-term objectives.

The Facilities Department ensures that the buildings and campuses of RVEI remain safe, clean and well-maintained. It oversees repairs, routine maintenance, security systems, vendor coordination and utility services. The department also ensures regulatory compliance, effective space utilisation and emergency preparedness. Through these responsibilities, it safeguards institutional assets and provides a reliable environment that supports the smooth functioning of RVEI’s academic and administrative operations.

The Engineering Department, based at the central management office, comprises skilled engineers responsible for infrastructure development across RVEI institutions. The team oversees new construction, renovation, rehabilitation and structural restoration projects. It manages project planning, execution and coordination while securing statutory approvals from relevant authorities. Through these responsibilities, the department ensures that infrastructure development and maintenance support the smooth functioning and growth of our institutions.

The RV Information Centre (RVIC), the technological backbone of RVEI, supports the digital systems that enable effective academic and administrative operations across its institutions. Established in 2017, RVIC is staffed by technology professionals with extensive SAP experience. The centre ensures smooth coordination, reliable digital infrastructure and an improved student experience while strengthening the operational efficiency of RVEI’s educational ecosystem. 

The Department of Media and Alumni Affairs manages all offline and online marketing activities and websites for RVEI, strengthening brand presence and outreach. It creates engaging and relevant content to connect with diverse audiences and organises events on behalf of RVEI. The department also builds and actively engages a strong alumni network across our institutions, fostering lasting relationships and continued support for the organisation.

At RVEI, our ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) initiatives reflect a deep commitment to shaping a better future, championing sustainability through eco-friendly practices, and empowering communities through inclusive and impactful social programmes. We also seek to ensure transparency and integrity through strong governance at every level.

Environmental

RVEI promotes environmental responsibility through sustainable campus practices, academic integration and community initiatives. Together, these efforts strengthen ecological awareness and responsible environmental stewardship across our campuses. Key initiatives include:

  • Rainwater harvesting systems that support water conservation
  • Environmental monitoring in collaboration with KSPCB and ISRO for air, noise and weather conditions
  • Circular waste management through collection, segregation and repurposing of materials
  • Sustainability-focused courses such as Environmental Technology, Biology for Engineers and Green Technology
  • NSS-led plantation drives with NGOs and hospitals, including planting 1,000 saplings in a rural belt

RVEI promotes community well-being through health initiatives, awareness programmes and service-oriented outreach activities. These initiatives strengthen community engagement while promoting preventive healthcare and social responsibility. Key initiatives include:

  • Dental health programmes, including screenings, demonstrations and distribution of health kits
  • Special health camps focusing on women’s health, geriatric wellness and adolescent fitness
  • Awareness programmes on menstrual hygiene, diabetic neuropathy, mobility, posture and personal safety
  • Outreach activities that integrate service learning for students and faculty
  • Health camps in rural and underserved areas offering oral cancer screenings and general health assessments
