Our Story
Established in 1940 by the freedom fighter and visionary, Sri M.C. Sivananda Sarma, RV Educational Institutions (RVEI) has grown into one of India’s most respected educational networks. What began as a modest primary school with just 6 students has, over the course of 8 decades, evolved into a robust network of 27 institutions, serving over 30,000 students and supported by nearly 2,300 dedicated employees across 20 locations.
Guided by the mission of providing education with a strong sense of social commitment, RVEI strives to make quality education accessible to all sections of society. The Visionary Behind RVEI - Sri M.C. Sivananda Sarma
In 1940, Sri M.C. Sivananda Sarma, a distinguished freedom fighter, educator and administrator, founded RV Educational Institutions (RVEI) with a steadfast mission to make high-quality education accessible to all. His visionary leadership and unwavering dedication laid the foundation for what would grow into a leading network known for academic excellence, innovation and lifelong learning.
Inspired by the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and other eminent leaders, he actively participated in the Indian Independence Movement. He firmly believed that education is the foundation of a progressive and empowered society, a conviction that drove his lifelong commitment to democratising education and nurturing future generations.
The journey commenced with the establishment of the RV Higher Primary School in Visweshwarapuram, Bengaluru, starting with just 6 students. This humble beginning laid a solid foundation for the extensive network of schools and colleges that now operate under the RVEI banner.
Sri Sivananda Sarma strongly believed in education as a catalyst for empowering individuals to realise their fullest potential and pursue their aspirations. As the Founder Secretary of Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (the governing body of RVEI), he guided its growth and development with dedication until his passing in 1969.
His enduring legacy lives on through our continued commitment to social upliftment, with his vision and ideals continuing to guide RVEI in nurturing responsible and capable individuals who contribute meaningfully to society.
